Yiannis Maos was crowned West Midlands Technology Leader of the Year alongside 18 other winners in front of the region’s business community.
The awards were independently judged by the region’s business leaders and consisted of Andy Begley, CEO of Shropshire Council, Henrietta Brealey, CEO of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Andrew Lovett, CEO of the Black Country Living Museum and Abbie Vlahakis, CEO of Millenium Point.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands editor Anna Cooper, who chaired the panel, said: “Congratulations to all our winners – and those shortlisted. The standard of this year’s nominations was higher than ever, displaying the depth and breadth of the leadership talent in the West Midlands.”
On receiving the award, Yiannis said:
“Winning Technology Leader of the Year last night at the West Midlands Leadership Awards was a huge surprise and honour. I’m extremely lucky to get to lead such a fantastic team and the region is full of amazing leaders who deserve this accolade as much as I do.”
A previous winner, Melissa Snover, Founder of Remedy Health, commented:
“This is very well deserved. Yiannis’ efforts in championing the midlands technology sector have completely changed the game and given the region the spotlight and focus it deserves – we are very lucky to have him!”
